His Father Is Not Yoruba – Bimbo Akinsanya Calls Out Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour

Nollywood Actress, Bimbo Akinsanya, has caused a stir on social media after claiming that Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour’s father is not Yoruba.

This follows GRV’s recent post sharing a photo of his MIT certificate which showed the name ‘Patrick Rhodes-Vivour’ on it.

“Let me quickly screen shot & post in all platforms. This guy is Igbo. His father is not yoruba. Sanwo Olu is doing excellently well, let us all forgive our darling governor. Let us look at his good sides & please vote for him. Na beg I dey beg. Anger will only destroy things. Sanwo Olu deserves a 2nd term”, she wrote.

Akinsanya’s statement has sparked outrage among social media users, with many questioning the relevance of the actress’s claims to GRV’s candidacy.

Some have accused her of making an unnecessary and baseless attack on the Labour Party candidate’s heritage.

Meanwhile, a certain critic had previously criticized GRV for allegedly bearing three different names within the space of 15 years, further questioning his character and ability to lead. However, it remains unclear if this criticism is related to Akinsanya’s statement.

In response to the backlash, Akinsanya went on to plead with Lagosians to forgive the incumbent governor, Sanwo-Olu, for his shortcomings.

She praised Sanwo-Olu for doing an excellent job in Lagos and urged people to focus on his good sides and vote for him. Akinsanya warned that anger will only lead to destruction and called on everyone to support Sanwo-Olu’s bid for a second term.
