Iyabo Ojo Shocks With Obidient Birthday Message To MC Oluomo On Birthday
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has surprised many as she extended birthday wishes to MC Oluomo, leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State.
In an Instagram post, the actress referred to MC Oluomo as her dear friend and wished him the very best in life, using the word “obidiently,” which has caught the attention of many.
This comes after weeks of the two being at odds with each other following Iyabo’s support for a different presidential candidate from the one MC Oluomo was rooting for.
Iyabo Ojo was rooting for Labour Party presidiental candidate, Peter Obi while MC Oluomo is a staunch supporter of APC’s Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The tension led to the breakdown of their friendship, with MC Oluomo reportedly blocking the actress on social media.
Iyabo Ojo, however, addressed the situation in an Instagram live session, stating that she was never in a romantic relationship with MC Oluomo and that she detests people who try to control others because of the favors they’ve received from them.
Despite the tension, Iyabo Ojo has expressed her love and respect for MC Oluomo and is open to reconciliation.
The surprising birthday wishes from Iyabo Ojo have been met with mixed reactions from fans, with some applauding her for her maturity and willingness to extend the olive branch, while others have criticized her for it.
One Instagram user with the handle “Swag Omoluabi” praised Iyabo for her gesture, writing “Naso e supposed be!!! No mix pleasure with real life!! Happy birthday upcoming King MC.” Another user, “Realwzy Domnoble,” also commended the actress, saying, “I too love your realness mama. Happy birthday sir.”
However, not everyone was thrilled with Iyabo’s birthday message. One user with the handle “Uniqboi Djblast” wrote, “Peace is temporary… vawulence is a must,” while another user, “Fife Hanmi,” commented, “Na vawulence be this woman.”
Some fans also made fun of Iyabo’s use of the word “obidiently,” with one user writing, “It’s the Obidiently for me,” and another user with the handle “Spicy guineafowl” adding, “This birthday wishes is seriously OBIDIENTLY.”
