Lebanese APC Chiefs Bring Another Shade To Debate On Who Owns Lagos

A viral video of Lebanese men wearing APC caps and sharing indomie for Nigerians has caused mixed reactions among Lagosians.

Several claims are being made that the Lebanese own a substantial part of Lagos and have been recruited by the ruling party to help fend off the insurgent campaign by Labor Party to change the political dynamics.

Not surprisingly, the tribal sentiments that are shapping the elections in Lagos State were also being brought to bear on the issue as the debate as to who really owns Lagos was again reignited.

Some argued that there is an agenda of Ndi igbo overruning Lagos using Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes who is partyly Igbo. However, others argued that if foreigners including Lebanese can be used by the APC to campaign then no one could then fault the legitimate right of the Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour as an indigene of Lagos state.
