In the wake of the current situation in Nigeria, gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has taken to social media to express his belief that God is not asleep and is working behind the scenes.

Bassey shared his thoughts on Twitter, stating that although many Nigerians are worried and cannot sleep due to the state of the country, he believes that God has a plan and is up to something.

He cited a Bible verse, Psalm 2:4, which reads, “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall have them in derision.” This passage suggests that God is in control and that those who oppose Him will ultimately fail.

He wrote:

While we are worried and cannot sleep, HE is working begin the scene o.” I don’t know why God gave me this Iine at this time in our nation. But have a sneaking feeling that God is up to something. “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall have them in derision.” Psalm 2:4 KJV Nigeria you shall rise!”

Bassey’s message was met with mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media. Some found comfort in his words and believed that God would intervene in the country’s problems, while others questioned whether faith alone would be enough to solve Nigeria’s deep-rooted issues.
