Outrage Trails Arrest Of Obi’s Supporter For ‘Cyberstalking’ Soludo

Outrage is brewing in the social media over the arrest of an Onitsha based supporter of Peter Obi named as Chude Nnamdi after he was accused of cyberstalking.

He was arrested in Onitsha, Anambra State on the 18th of March, 2023 after calling out those he identified as APGA thugs for allegedly snatching ballot boxes and asserting that Governor Charles Soludo had taken the state backwards.

It was gathered that he is being investigated by the Nigeria Police Force National Cyber Crime Centre, Abuja with tweeps alleging that while an Obidient was being investigated over a tweet that perpetrators of violence on Election day have been largely roaming free.

GWG.ng reports that Chude took to his social media account tweeting ”Breaking: APGA thugs are on rampage in Trans-Nkisi, 3’3 & Awada snatching ballot box. LP is winning comfortably across Anambra. I can’t remember the last time I heard of ballot box snatching in Anambra. This is the height of it. @CCSoludo has taken us back to Mbadinauju’s era,”.

His arrest has caused mixed reactions from Nigerians as some accused the Nigerian Police of injustice since MC Oluomo was not arrested despite his instigating and controversial posts and videos.

These accusations are trending on social media with the hashtag #FreeChudeNow and over 9,000 tweets. GWG.ng gathered some of the tweets;

It took the police less than 5 hours to arrest chude and flew him to Abuja within 24 hours while mc oluomo and thugs and murderes who were caught on camera infighting violence ,attacking peaceful voters are roaming the streets without being questioned …..this will end soon!
