Ladies Go Topless To Protest Alleged Rigging Of Election (Video)
By David Okpashi
Some ladies in Nasarawa State in North-Central Nigeria have gone topless as part of their protest to what they allege as the rigging of the governorship election in the state.
GWG.ng reports that Governor Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress, APC was returned as winner of the election after defeating the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, David Umbugadu, by a margin of 64,193.
The victory of the governor came after two wards in Lafia Local Government Area returned a winning margin of an estimated 100,000 votes for Sule to wipe out the previous lead that had been maintained by the PDP.
The development has led to protests in the state with women staging a seven-day protest over what they claimed as the theft of the mandate given to Umbugadu.
A video of the protest of the ladies protesting on twitter against the alleged election rigging with some of them topless surfaced with differing reactions.
GWG.ng gathered some of the reactions:

Nasarawa state Protest! She said they didn’t vote APC, that Inec stole their mandate meanwhile Fulani are killing them in the bush & they can’t even go to their farms. They should give them back their mandate.

She’s saying they didn’t vote for the person declared as winner in Nasarawa state. That they have been chased from their farmlands by Fulanis, their chiefs were bribed with money so the chiefs aren’t speaking up for them. That no one goes to farm in Kadorko
