May, Yul Mum As Pete Edochie Reacts to Grandson Death
Pete Edochie has expressed his sorrow over the death of his grandson, Kambilichukwu Edochie lamenting that he was a talented and promising lad whose alluring potentials were left unrealised.
Kambilichukwu passed away on March 29, two months after his parents, Yul and May Edochie, marked his 16th birthday.
Pete Edochie who confirmed the tragic news of the passage of his grandson to Vanguard, his son Yul phoned him on Wednesday and told him that his grandson, Kambilichukwu had collapsed while playing football with his schoolmates and had a seizure.
He claimed that the deceased was taken by ambulance to the Mother and Child Hospital in Lagos, where he eventually passed away.
Pete Edochie expressed regret that his grandson passed away when he had so much potential.
“Kambilinachukwu is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child. He’s not somebody you can ride easily. He doesn’t get angry no matter the situation. He may change his composure, but he was definitely a very unusual person in so many respects. He was so accomplished. I always tell my son that I don’t like people excelling like this in any thing they are involved in. Experience has taught me that such people don’t last long,” Pete Edochie said of his grandson.
Meanwhile, the parents of the lad May and Yul Edochie who between them have been carrying a beef over the husband’s second marriage to Judy Austin have been mum on the issue.
