Davido, who was off social media for a while after the death of his son, Ifeanyi, said he would have been very vocal about the elections if he were online.
He said he was happy about the low turnout of voters, adding that the safety of voters was important.
He said, “I’m happy that people were not really coming out. You know if I were online, I would have been really vocal about it (the election). I have always been vocal about it.
“But, I mean, I was happy about it. That’s just being honest.”
The music star took to his social media page in the early hours of Friday to announce the release of his latest offering, a 17-track project to his numerous fans.
“At long last – We are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least,” Davido wrote on Twitter announcing the album.
Davido’s ‘Timeless’ got one million streams in six hours after it dropped.
