Outrage As Obidients Name Culprit Over Obi’s Detention In London
Outrage was growing on Wednesday among supporters following news that Peter Obi had a detention spell at Heathrow Airport, London on Good Friday with Obidients pointing accusing fingers at Britain who is accused of siding Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for the Nigerian presidency.
Obidients and others who went to twitter recalled the claim by the outgoing British High Commissioner to Nigeria Catriona Laing describing Nigerian politics as fascinating after Britain had earlier congratulated Tinubu with reservations after he was declared winner of the elections.
Chimamanda Adichie the acclaimed literary giant has flayed the British action and piled pressure on the United States administration not to follow suit.
Reacting to the brief detention of Peter Obi at Heathrow Airport on Good Friday over claims that someone else was impersonating him in the United Kingdom, Obidients on twitter expressed outrage that the victim of the impersonation was the one being held while the criminal was on the loose with Britain being named as the culprit in the Nigerian saga.
GWG.ng gathered some of the reactions on twitter on Wednesday.

a decoy that PO identity was tempered with, this is a silly excuse. The former British high commissioner that just left this shores,is a prime suspect to this saga, she is deeply rooting for Bola Tinubu & have begged PO to forget his mandate. The British govt enjoy our corruption
KMC @omalecasualz
First the discovered someone impersonated him or impersonating him, they didn’t inform him about it, and no form of arrest was done after that. The British government should tell us what is going on.

British and America governments are Two face countries aiding bad politicians in Nigeria, they just come on media to tell you that they will do this, that to any politicians in Nigeria that disenfranchise election but it’s all gimmick, they will not do anything.
Gorip DD @gyem_rit
I doubt if it’s about the British high commissioner that just left, it’s about Britain as a whole. Why do you think most Nigerian corrupt officials have properties there? The day we let lose of Britain and America, Nigeria will witness freedom.
OBJ_KINGS @ObijiakuKingsl3
They discovered and didn’t tell him. Why are they hiding it. They should make public the person behind the identity theft. Hiding the person makes the whole thing suspicious.
Lillybaby @OGELYN
I have always said it that Britain is 100% to blame for all the travails we are suffering as a nation. They support all the evil and evil leaders Nigeria has ever had. The fact is that they don’t want Nigerians to be truely liberated. They are pure evil
McGeneral @TolanVentures
Do the needful and never in your life disgrace H.E Peter Gregory Obi again @BritishEmbassy @UKParliament @UN @EuropeanUnionC We want freedom for all Nigerians and never tamper with our happiness
GWG.ng reports that naming Britain as the culprit over the detention of Obi in London follows the suggestions that Nigeria’s former colonial power would want a subservient government over the country.
However, that is despite the hundreds of millions of aid the UK has poured into Nigeria.
