Heavy Knocks As Mayor Dances Topless In Nightclub, Strips

A bizarre video of a mayor in Colombia dancing practically naked in a nightclub has drawn criticism.

In the now-viral video, Martn Alfonso Meja of the Calima municipality is seen ripping off his shirt and gyrating his hips in front of the partygoers’ shocked faces.

The politician is also shown sitting on a bench, taking his pants down, and exposing his naked behind to a gathering of young girls. At the end of the video, another man attemptted to cover up Meja’s body. His actions, which took place during Holy Week in a country that is predominately Catholic, didn’t sit well with many.

A representative from Colombia’s House of Representatives, Duvalier Sanchez Arango, said: “The responsibility that politicians have obliged us to show exemplary behaviour in public. Concerning the inappropriate acts of Mayor Martín Mejía of Calima in Valle, we are calling for a disciplinary investigation by the Attorney General’s Office and the Green Party.”

Mayor Meja has since claimed that the nightclub drugged him, a claim that has been vigorously refuted by the boss of the nightclub.

Meja’s partying habit has generated controversy in the past as well. He mounted the stage at a concert six months ago while visibly inebriated and told attendees that he was corrupt.
