REC By-Passes Returning Officer, Declares APC’s Binani Adamawa Gov-Elect
There were intrigues in Yola, Adamawa State on Sunday morning when the Resident Electoral Commissioner for the State, Barrister Hudu Yunusa by-passed the Returning Officer for the governorship election to declare the Senator Aisha Dahiru, popularly known as Binani, as the winner of the Adamawa Governorship election.
Binani of the All Progressives Congress, APC was declared winner of the election by Yunusa while the returning officer and other stakeholders were still in the process of computing the results following the supplementary elections conducted on Saturday.
