Breaking: Obaseki Dissolves Cabinet, Sacks All Aides Ahead Of Succession Battle

Governor Godwin Obaseki has dissolved his cabinet, sacked all commissioners and aides leaving tongues wagging over his decision.

The development came during the weekly executive council meeting on Wednesday even as the governor expressed appreciation to members of the council for their service to the government and people of the State.

The governor also said that, beginning from Wednesday, all Special Assistants (SAs) and Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) have been relieved of their appointments.

 GWG.ng reports that the dissolution coming about two years to the end of the Obaseki administration is expected to enable the governor to refit his political machine ahead of what promises to be an eventful campaign season.
