PSG Confirm Lionel Messi Is To Leave The Club

Paris Saint-Germain, PSG have confirmed that Lionel Messi will leave the club at the end of the season, after failing to agree a new contract.

The 35-year-old has faced criticism in recent times from the Paris Saint-Germain fans, despite scoring 15 goals and providing the same amount in Ligue 1 this season. He also received a two-week ban after taking an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia.

However, Jorge Messi who is the father and agent of the World Cup winner has confirmed that he will leave the club at the end of the season. Barcelona are preparing to sign the Argentine on a free transfer, while he has also received a mouthwatering offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal. The deal is worth £400 million a season and will reportedly make him the highest-paid player in football.

Meanwhile, besides the news that PSG had agreed that Lionel Messi had agreed to leave the club, Real Madrid are on the verge of completing a world record transfer for Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham, after  agreeing personal terms with the 20-year-old.

The 14-time UEFA Champions League kings are preparing a midfield replacement for their aging duo of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos as they reach the climax of their careers. They already have Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga at their disposal, as well as 24-year-old Federico Valverde.

Despite preparing new contracts for Kroos and Modric, the European giants have made a big step in their pursuit of Jude Bellingham. Borussia Dortmund placed a £190 million price tag on the midfielder and Madrid are willing to splash the cash on the youngster who has often been described as a ‘generational talent’. However, they have agreed personal terms with the midfielder and are close to completing the signing which will make it the most expensive transfer in the club’s history.
