Reps Urge Nigerians To Be Prayerful Over Fuel Subsidy Removal

As Nigerians feel the sting of President Bola Tinubu’s “removal” of fuel subsidy, the House of Representatives has encouraged Nigerians to pray for the policy’s smooth execution.

In a follow-up to Abdulraheem Olajide’s motion of urgent public concern on Tuesday, the House thanked President Tinubu for making the announcement on Monday.

Tinubu, it should be remembered, declared subsidies abolished during his inauguration. The announcement resulted in a shortage of petroleum products.

Mr Olajide said the House must support Tinubu in the subsidy removal because he campaigned to do so.

“The legislature must support the President in delivering dividends of democracy, which will go a long way in enhancing development because he asked for it and campaigned for it. And he is ready for the task ahead,” he said.
