How Police Raided Sacked Oyo Park Chairman’s Hotel, Recovered Charms, Others
Barely 24 hours after being removed as chairman of the Park Management System (PMS) in Oyo, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force reportedly recovered some ammunition and charms at a hotel belonging to the ousted chairman, Mukaila Lamidi popularly called Auxiliary.
Other things recovered from Auxiliary’s place were 474 bullets, cutlass and a huge amount of cash.
Recall Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Monday, May 29, ordered the dissolution of the Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System (PMS) headed by Alhaji Mukaila Auxiliary.
In a recent development, a police source who was part of the operation informed SaharaReporters on Tuesday that the chairman of PMS in the State had “fled” the scene when he saw the heavy presence of police in his hotel.
It was gathered the raid followed information from credible sources that Auxiliary had concluded plans to cause unrest in Ibadan, the state capital on Wednesday, following the dissolution of his committee.
In February, the Oyo State Government introduced the Park Management System to increase the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
It denied the new structure was not in any way a lift on the existing proscription on the activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
