We all know that mosquitoes are attracted to sweet things and body odor but they keep away from certain plant fragrances. There are many sweet-smelling, beautiful plants to keep mosquitoes away. These plants help repel these disease-spreading insects from around your garden or house.

Lavender:                                                                 

Most people love the smell of lavender and   even use lavender fragrances too. Lavender not only offers an aromatic fragrance but is one of the many plants that repel mosquitoes. The pleasant aroma of lavender is dreadful to mosquitoes and is best utilized by planting it in the garden, or in pots near doors and windows.

 Basil plant is an excellent natural mosquito repellent. You can grow this mosquito-repelling plant in pots and place them in your garden to prevent mosquitoes.

Peppermint

Peppermint   acts as a natural insecticide which can be used to repel mosquitoes. When stepping out to enjoy some time in the yard or when mosquito problems get severe, crush a few leaves from it to release scents and oils.

Eucalyptus

This plant is a genus of shrubs and trees. The oil released from this tree has an outstanding property of repelling the mosquitoes, naturally, even in the garden. The oil produced by eucalyptus is gentle on human skin and its use can protect you from deadly mosquito bites.

Rosemary

This  plant  described  to be beautiful  is usually used in cooking dishes but it is an excellent mosquito repellent too. You can keep it indoors or out, but one thing that you need to ensure is that it gets full sun. For repellent purposes, both the live plant and the cuttings from it are effective to get rid of those disease spreading bugs.

Sage

Sage belongs to the mint family and has grayish-green leaves along with woody stems. The leaves of this herbaceous plant have a powerful aroma and also produce oils that help repel mosquitoes.
