Buhari Departs For Niger Republic, Begins Lecture Circuit (Pictures)
Former President Muhammadu Buhari has quietly slipped into the Niger Republic from his Daura base, a Facebook user has disclosed from where he is expected to proceed on a lecture in the United Kingdom.
According to the Facebook user, Buhari Sallau, the former president is expected to depart Niger Republic will on Saturday depart that country for the World Leaders Summit in the United Kingdom along with Mohamed Bazoum, President of Niger Republic.
He said Buhari Will on Wednesday address World Leaders on educative ways to fix the economy which will mark the first time the former Nigeria leader will appear in a public ceremony.
GWG.ng is unable to confirm the specific title of the lecture and whether Buhari will take to the lecture circuit as his hobby following two stints as the democratically elected leader of the country.
Although the detailed agenda of the meeting is not available, it is expected to be about the summit which is aimed at working to help transform education systems in several countries and territories.
It was gathered that Buhari is expected to return to the Niger Republic along with President Mohamed Bazoum at the end of the Summit. The specific date for his return to Daura, Nigeria is, however, uncertain.
GWG.ng reports that before he left office last May that Buhari had hinted that should Nigerians should disturb him that he would relocate to the Niger Republic, though there was no hint about him going on a lecture circuit.
