Gen Irabor Returns, Received By Wife After Retirement While Abroad

General LEO Irabor, the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, who was on an official assignment in France when the news of his replacement was announced has returned to the country, practically into the arms of a grateful wife.

General Irabor was received on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja by family members led by his wife, Barrister (Mrs) Victoria Irabor on his arrival.

GWG.ng reports that General Irabor was appointed Chief of Defence Staff, Nigeria’s number one soldier on January 21, 2021 by President Muhammadu Buhari. He served in that capacity until Monday, June 19, 2023 when President announced a new set of service chiefs with General Christopher Musa replacing Irabor as Chief of Defence Staff.
