Husband Charged With Attempted Murder After Battering Man He Found In Bed With His Wife

An enraged husband has been charged by police after he pummeled a man raw with a baseball bat after catching him in bed with his wife.

John Dimmig, 33, of Lake Worth, Florida, is charged with attempted murder after breaking into the victim’s AirBnB unit and catching him in the act with his shocked wife, according to a CBS 2 story.

When police arrived at the Lake Worth Beach home in response to a 911 call, they discovered blood all over the living room. The man was found lying on his back in the bedroom of the flat, holding a towel to his head and severely bloodied.

The victim told officers that he was a CT technician from Arizona who was in Florida for work, according to an arrest record.

He said that Dimmig’s wife was a colleague and that the two of them had gone out for drinks after work before going back to his Airbnb accommodation.

He was having sex with her when he heard the front door open and then saw Dimmig coming at him with a bat. He was beaten three times with the metal club by the furious husband while being pinned to the ground.

He told police, “I felt like he was out to kill me.”

While assaulting the man, Dimmig yelled at the man to stay away from his wife. Before Dimmig left the scene, she at last managed to free her husband from the victim.

Dimmig was brought under custody despite his denial of the assault. On July 17, he is expected to show up in court.
