“This is highly unfortunate to have this kind of situation not just in the state capital but at the Emir’s Palace.

“My administration will not condone this act. I charge the security agencies to investigate and fish out the criminals with a view to prosecuting them,” he said.

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago who sympathised with the Emir of Minna, Alhaji (Dr) Umar Farouk Bahago over the robbery attack, prayed God to grant the two Palace Aides quick recovery.

Meanwhile, the Salka Elites Forum of Nigeria, Niger State Chapter has appealed to Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago to call the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora to order, following perceived controversial appointments that led to inform the setting ablaze of residential buildings and business premises with several people sustaining varying degrees of injuries including a foliceman in the area.

The forum also urged the State Governor to cancel all the purported unilateral creation of a new District and controversial appointment of a settler as the Village Head of Tungan Kade- Majinga, a Kambari Community in Magama Local Government Area of the State, with the view to save the Kambari tradition, norms and values.

In a press statement issued by a leader of the Forum, Bala Salka, and made available to newsmen at the end of a one-day retreat held in Minna, the group alleged that the act by the Satkin Sudan of Kontagora who was supposed to be the custodian of peace and cultural heritage of the people had led to the breakdown of law and order in the area.
