The Anambra State Government panel which investigated the controversial result put forward by Mmesoma Ejikeme has called on her to make a written apology to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB over the hoopla and following that to undergo psychological counselling.

The committee in making its three-point recommendations found out that Mmesoma on her own manipulated the original result she got.

The committee which interacted with Ejikeme Mmesoma, authorities of her school, and JAMB in its findings deposed that the result paraded by Ejikeme Mmesoma with an aggregate score of 362 was fake and that she admitted manipulating the results by herself using her phone.

According to the report obtained by GWG.ng:
“She owned up in the presence of her principal, and the Education Secretary that the narration by the JAMB officials was a true and correct description of what transpired. She also admitted to have given a manipulated result by herself, unaided using the same phone (and) Airtel Number.

“According to her, she proceeded to the cybercafe (Prisca Global Computers, Uruagu, Nnewi) where she printed the results she had manipulated.”

“The committee tried to find out the motive behind her actions, but Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma said NOTHING.”

GWG.ng reports that Ejikeme Mmesoma had put the reputation of JAMB in suspense after she claimed to have scored 362 and been the highest-scoring candidate in the 2023 UTME.

Following the controversy the Anambra State Government set up a committee comprising of Prof. Nkemdili Nnonyelu as Chairman, other members are Prof. Mercy Okonkwo, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Prof. Maduabuchi Dukor, Prof. Jaja Nwanegbo, Rev. Sr. Prof. Mary-Felicia Opara, Rev. Cannon Dr. Uchenna Umeifekwem, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Managing Director, Anambra Information Communication Technology Agency.

The Anambra State Government is, however, yet to release a white paper on the issue and the fate of Ejikeme Mmesoma now hangs in the balance following the ban on her by JAMB from partaking in the UTME for three years.
