Prominent Nigerian Twitter users have united against music star, Brymo after he publicly confessed that he demanded sex from Simi to enable him to do a collabo with her.

The controversy erupted when Brymo, a renowned artist, shared an audio clip on his official Twitter handle, revealing that he had declined to collaborate with Simi due to her refusal to engage in a sexual relationship with him. Shocked and appalled by the revelation, social media users began discussing the inappropriate demand Brymo had allegedly made.

It was in the midst of this heated discussion that Daniel Regha, a social media influencer, voiced his strong disapproval. In a tweet, he wrote, “Brymo was first an extreme tribal bigot, now he’s just something else. Asking Simi or anyone for their body in exchange for a collab is absolutely disgusting.” His words resonated with many users, as his stance against Brymo’s actions garnered widespread support.

Within minutes, the comments section under Daniel’s post filled with reactions from fellow Twitter users. Notably, Tboysquare, another popular influencer, chimed in, saying, “I agree with my Sapa influencer on this.” Even those who hadn’t always agreed with Daniel’s previous comments couldn’t help but acknowledge the gravity of the situation. User Abazz admitted, “First time I have to agree with you,” expressing solidarity with Daniel’s viewpoint.

Daniel’s passionate criticism of Brymo’s actions highlighted the importance of respecting boundaries in both personal and professional relationships. His tweet struck a chord with many, sparking a broader conversation about consent, professionalism, and the treatment of artists, particularly women, within the music industry.

As the controversy continued to unfold, Simi’s husband, Adekunle Gold, took to Twitter to defend his wife and family. He tweeted, “Do not disrespect my wife and my family. Get Help!” His unwavering support for Simi reinforced the significance of standing together in the face of adversity.

While Gwg.ng didn’t interview Daniel Regha, his stance and involvement in the Brymo-Simi collaboration issue garnered immense attention. As a result, he continued to gain followers and influence, using his platform to advocate for positive change, ethical collaborations, and the promotion of a respectful online community.
