Senate Gears For Ministerial Screening Amid Last Minute Substitutions

The Senate is eagerly gearing up for the screening of President Bola Tinubu’s list of ministerial nominees with aides of the president assuring that the list will be released to meet the 60-day constitutional deadline despite last-minute changes to four nominees.

The nation is abuzz with excitement as citizens eagerly await the disclosure of the nominees who will potentially shape the country’s policies and governance.

Rumors had been swirling for weeks about the impending release of the ministerial list, with speculation rife about who would be selected to fill these crucial government positions. The presidency had kept its cards close to its chest, leaving the public and political pundits in suspense. However, hope was finally ignited when President Tinubu’s aide shed light on the matter during an exclusive interview.

Speaking with confidence, the aide confirmed that the ministerial list was set to be unveiled imminently, finally putting an end to the prolonged uncertainty that had enveloped the nation. “Ministers’ list will be out this week. Another source told Vanguard that as of Friday, the President was still editing the list and will submit the final list this week.

The source said: “As of Friday, the list is with Baba but I don’t know of yesterday (Saturday). Every minute he is changing some names, up till Friday when he travelled, he still edited some names. But by this week, he will call the Presidential Liaison Officer to the Senate and give him the list.

“It’s this week that he will send the list and Senate will clear the nominees this week.”
