JUST IN: Terrorists Kidnap 23 Widows, Teenage Girls

Suspected armed bandits in their number have kidnapped twenty-three (23) women in Damaga village of Maradun local government area in Zamfara.

It was gathered that the recalcitrant bandits besieged Damaga village in the wee hours of Thursday.

A resident of the area Malam Musa Dan Damaga told newsmen that the incident occured around noon on Wednesday.

“The kidnapped victims went to look for firewood, they comprises of teenage girls and widows,” the source told Tribune.

“As I’m talking to you we’ve discovered more than twenty of them were in captivity,” the source added.

When contacted for confirmation on the incident, Zamfara Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP. Yazeed Abubakar could not be reached as at press time.
