Tinubu Changes Abode, Delays Movement Into Official Residence

President Bola Tinubu, on Sunday, moved into the Glass House, one of the living quarters within the Presidential Villa, Abuja as his new residence.

Since he assumed office on May 29, President Tinubu has been resuming office daily from his private residence in Asokoro due to ongoing renovations to the official presidential residence

It was not clear why he chose the Glass House at this time even though renovation work was thought to have been completed at the official residence.

But it was also learnt that the President did not intend to move into the Villa until September and may have changed his mind because of increased public pressure.

The Glass House, located within the precincts of the State House, is reserved as the most prized guest house of the President.

Beside the news of President Tinubu changing residence, some agricultural experts say his national broadcast is full of hope and many fruitful expectations but requires proper implementation.

They charged the President to set up mechanisms for  proper planning and smooth implementation of his administration’s agricultural policies.

The experts disclosed this in seperate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday while reacting to the President’s national broadcast.

Prof. Ayo Olalusi, Department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, Federal University of Technology Akure, said the president broadcast, particularly his plan on agriculture, was a welcome development.

Olalusi said the implementation of the food security plan should be strictly supervised and monitored by the presidency.
