Mockers Up Game As Fani-Kayode Breaks Silence On Ministerial List
By Gideon Ayeni
Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has graciously responded to mockers over his absence from the list of ministerial nominees submitted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Senate.
GWG.ng had reported that President Tinubu transmitted the second batch of his ministerial nominees to the Senate on Wednesday.
To the shock of many, Fani-Kayode’s name was absent from the list, prompting his political foes to mock him despite what they claimed as his leading role in savaging his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Breaking his silence on the matter, the former Minister of Aviation extended his congratulations to the nominees in a tweet on Thursday morning. He expressed his well wishes for their service to the nation, describing them as “excellent choices” made by the President.
Fani-Kayode reflected on his own past experience as a Minister 16 years ago, acknowledging the demanding nature of the role and offering prayers for the nominees as they navigate the challenging responsibilities of serving the country.

In response to Fani-Kayode’s tweet, social media users and other mockers took their turn on what they saw as his absence from the ministerial list.
@Stainless humorously reminded the former Minister that wealth is not equivalent to political influence, playfully stating, “I get money before, no be property.”
@isaacolatunde questioned the relevance of Fani-Kayode’s past ministerial role in the current context, expressing uncertainty about its significance. Meanwhile, @mystrypositive addressed Fani-Kayode as “Madam Fani” and sympathized with his absence from the list, offering a glimmer of hope for a potential third list.
