Ministerial Nominee Dropped After Sending Message To Obidients Speaks

Kano princess, Dr Maryam Shetty was dropped from President Bola Tinubu’s list of ministerial nominees an hour or two after she passed a rallying call to Obidients and supporters of Atiku Abubakar, GWG.ng investigations have revealed.

Meanwhile, Dr Shetty who is the granddaughter of the late emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero and a firm Buharist has passed on her congratulations to her replacement.

Dr Shetty, a passionate supporter of Muhammadu Buhari was dropped from the list and replaced by another lady, Dr Mairiga Mahmud in the ministerial list as nominee from Kano.

The social media influencer and international sports physiotherapist who is known to have worked with Usain Bolt drew attention to her replacement in a twitter post shortly after midday on Friday.

She tweeted thus:

Maryam Shetty was, however, quick to pay compliments to Dr Mairiga Mahmud who replaced her and also to former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

An hour later, she followed up by paying tributes to Ganduje in a tweet, saying:

I felicitate with Dr Mariya Mairiga Mahmud. I thank the leader of our party HE Abdullahi Ganduje for his fatherly disposition and democratic stance that set the stage for a free and transparent contestation devoid of institutional bias, favoritism, or imposition of any kind.

However, attention was being focused on some tweets she made earlier with one that was directed to supporters of Obi, Obidients and those of Atiku, Atikulated.

It is, however, not believed that Dr Maryam Shetty was dropped from the cabinet as a result of the tweet.

Meanwhile, associates and Twitter users have been pouring out support for the Kano-born princess.
