Davido Shocks, Sets Time To Retire From Music (Video)
International music star, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has served notice of the time he would retire from music. According to him he would step away from the music scene before his popularity wanes.
The artiste shared his thoughts via an Instagram video posted by entertainment blogger Tunde Ednut. Davido conveyed his apprehension about the inevitable ebb in his music career, sharing that he fears the moment when the fervor around his performances starts to diminish.
The ‘Unavailable’ singer acknowledged that every artiste experiences a phase when their music no longer elicits the same enthusiastic response from fans. Determined to avoid reaching that stage, Davido humorously mentioned to his friends that he plans to retire before his appeal fades.
He emphasized that he wants to bow out gracefully before his music loses its charm, pledging to stay away from the industry to preserve his legacy.

Davido gave the time he would retire from music just as the governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, pledged support to the family of Chris Mba, the music star who passed on at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on May 3.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the tribute held at the COSON House in Ikeja, Lagos on Friday.
According to the statement, the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Martins Okechukwu, popularly known as J. Martins, in the video described Mba as an Illustrious son of Abia, and an icon in the music industry.
Present at the tribute night were prominent members of the music industry, friends and family members of the departed artiste such as Mr Collins Enebeli, father of hitmaker, Don Jazzy; Mike Odiong, CEO of Premier Records, Nigeria’s frontline recording company on whose label, Chris Mba released much of his memorable songs.
