Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has congratulated Master Adesina Ololade, a Kwara student who recently scored As (excellent) in all nine subjects 9As he wrote in the West African Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE).

Ololade also went on to record an impressive 298 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), again confirming his extraordinary brilliance.

This is contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, on Sunday in Ilorin.

AbdulRazaq said the outstanding results attest to the hard work, brilliance, focus, and family support that Ololade brought to bear in his studies.

“The family especially deserves a pat on the back for the great upbringing, discipline and efforts that shaped Ololade to become a pride of their clan.

“The Governor urges the brilliant lad to remain focused as he continues on a promising academic journey that, with faith in God, is certain to bear sweet fruits for him, his family and the larger society,” the statement read.

Master Ololade Adesina, who made nine 9As in the 2023 West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), on Friday won 15 awards at the 15th graduation ceremony of Rehoboth College, Ilorin.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adesina was awarded the best student in Data Processing, Civic Education, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, among others.

He also won Barr. Adimula’s award for Best in Mathematics and English Language; Ifeoluwa Tomiwa Makinde’s award for overall best student; Mr Alaofin’s award for best student in Chemistry; Mr and Mrs Makinwa’s award for Best Student in Economics, as well as Mr Àjàyí’s award for best graduating student of Rehoboth College.

In his valedictory speech, Adesina appreciated the teaching staff for their commitment to the academic success of their students.

He asserted that his sterling performance in the WASSCE examinations, in which he recorded nine A1s, would not have been possible without the doggedness and relentless efforts of all the teaching staff.
