DJ Chicken Mocks Portable Over Headies Snub,

Controversial entertainer DJ Chicken has taken aim at popular street-hop artist Portable for not receiving a nomination at the 16th Headies Awards, a notable recognition in the Nigerian music industry.

Portable, alongside some other leading artistes like Wizkid, were notably absent from this year’s nomination list.

After the event, Portable, who had received two nominations at the 2022 edition but didn’t secure any wins, expressed his disappointment, stating that he felt he had let himself down.

In response, DJ Chicken openly ridiculed Portable for his lack of recognition and claimed that Portable’s “glory has finished.” DJ Chicken went on to boast that his daily earnings on Instagram exceed the cost of building Portable’s house in Ogun State.

Furthermore, DJ Chicken took a jab at Portable for accusing Shallipopi of being a Yahoo boy, suggesting that Portable’s comments lacked credibility.

Meanwhile, besides the dig at Portable by DJ Chicken Over the Headies snub, GWG.ng had reported that Nigerian musician-turned-politician, Banky W, recently found himself in an interesting encounter when a fan credited him for the success of Grammy-winning singer, Wizkid, in a video that has since circulated on social media.

In the video, a fan approached Banky W with deep admiration, introducing him as “the man who made Wizkid.” Banky W’s response was swift and somewhat dismissive, as he uttered, “Here we go again,” before walking away from the scene, seemingly uninterested in accepting credit for Wizkid’s achievements.
