Mr Daniel Bwala, an aide to the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election, Atiku Abubakar, has accused unnamed persons in the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration of planning to arrest him through fabricated charges.

Bwala made the allegation in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.

GWG.ng reports that Bwala was once a passionate enthusiast of the presidential aspiration of Tinubu but revolted once Tinubu adopted a Muslim-Muslim ticket with the choice of Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate. He switched party to the PDP and became a spokesman of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku.

The legal practitioner who said he got wind of the plot through his sources in the villa said that anything that happens to him should be traced to the plotters.

Bwala wrote: “Last night I got a credible intelligence that some key people around the seat of power (Presidential Aso Vila) of this government are planning to use security agencie(s) to arrest me and take me into custody on a trumped-up allegations in other to rubbish me and silence me. That I am making them and the government uncomfortable.

“Let the world know today that I have always known that from my stands on the same faith ticket which led to my leaving APC , and consequent posture as a political opposition, it might irk the deep state and come with persecution for what i believe in and stand for. If anything happens to me, let the world know today of their evil plans,” Bwala said of the alleged plots by officials of the Tinubu administration to arrest and silence him.
