Chelsea Fans Celebrate As Manchester United Fall At Home Against Palace

The ever lively rivalry between top premiership teams Manchester United and Chelsea was playing out on Saturday after the Red Devils came down at home to Crystal Palace in their week 7 encounter giving some cheer to fans at Stamford Bridge.

Though Chelsea do not play until Monday, the former champions who are the top premiership spending side in the last two seasons have been in their wit ends losing an unprecedented two home games in the present season.

For Chelsea fans who have been persistent rivals of their Manchester United foes, the home defeat of the Red Devils by Crystal Palace was a cherry piece of news that was good comfort to their distressed season which has yet to get off.

GWG.ng reports that Crystal Palace took the lead in the 25th minute through Joachim Anderseen in the first half during which the home team had more than 70% of the control of the game.

However, with that the Red Devils could only manage one shot on target same with Crystal Palace which was, however, converted.

Manchester United controlled much of the second half but could not convert any of their moves into a goal.

The result meant that Manchester united which had not suffered defeat at home have now suffered two home defeats in as many games.

It was also no comfort for the other Manchester United rival team, Manchester City, famously regarded as the Noisy neighbours as they suffered tier first defeat of the season at Wolves.  

GWG.ng gathered the reactions of Chelsea fans to the defeat of their rival team, Manchester United.

GWG.ng reports that Chelsea play away to Fulham on Monady and Manchester United fans are expected to watch the game with keen interest for a possible riposte.
