Ahead of her scheduled meeting with the transportation Union in Agenebode on Thursday the Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council Hon.  (Princess) Benedicta Attoh has declared the local government headquarters as the most viable and unexplored transportation hub in Nigeria.

She has as such called on various transportation companies and others in the transportation industry to come and explore the vast opportunities in Agenebode as virgin land for the transportation industry.

“This is an open invitation for dealers of all kinds of Keke Napep and small buses for a shuttle to come to the local government headquarters to secure their place for the sales of their mobility due to the viable market for Keke napep and shuttle buses that our administration is opening up currently,” the chairman was quoted as saying in a statement issued by her chief press secretary, Benjamin Atu.

“We are introducing kekenapep and shuttle buses as a major means of transportation and the market is an open-ended opportunity for everyone with a multiplier effect in job creation and economic revival of various communities. The College of Agriculture and Marines will soon be open and students will need stable means of transportation.”

According to her, “I have held series of meetings with various communities and everyone wants Keke Napep as a dominant means of transportation with their willingness to purchase them but lamented the absence of sales outlets in Agenebode, Okpella, and North Ivie, areas which are key to internal communal movement.

The chairman in a statement issued Tuesday, said the first three Keke Napep sales and hire purchase outlets to be established within the council shall be given special consideration and benefits.

Hon. (Princess) Benedicta Attoh maintained that her Primary focus is to reinvigorate the transportation sector in the local government.

“While we need Keke Napep and other shuttle buses for internal transportation we are also seeking interstate vehicles. Transportation companies are all invited to take advantage of our huge market. We can go to Abuja from Agenebode without passing through Auchi.

“We can connect Lagos and Onitsha through vehicle transportation on ferry boats without the stress and pressure of following roads.  This is a new opportunity and we need development partners to explore it for mutually reinforcing benefits in our efforts to expand our frontiers in attracting development to the council” the statement added on the determination to make Agenebode Nigeria’s transportation hub.
