Oborevwori Hails Festus Okubor At 63

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated renowned medical practitioner, politician and astute administrator, Dr Festus Goziem Okubor, as he clocks 63 years on October 12. 

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, the governor described Okubor, who is National President, Ute-Okpu Development Union (UDU), as a political tactician and administrator, who had contributed immensely to the public service in the state. 

He particularly commended Okubor for his role in stabilising the polity as a man with the gift of the gab and expressed the hope that Okubor would continue to help mentor the young generation of youths in politics and business. 

Oborevwori extolled the Ute-Erumu- born leader and political tactician for his enduring legacy and service to the state in various capacities. 

The governor noted that Okubor had had outstanding service to the state, working as Chairman, Transition Committee, Ika North-East Local Government, State Director of Protocols, Commissioner for Information, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chairman, Governing Council, Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, and, later, Chief Strategist to the Governor. 

“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I congratulate an illustrious son of the state, Dr Festus Goziem Okubor, on his 63rd birth anniversary. 

“As you turn 63, your family, associates and admirers, have cause to be grateful to Almighty God for having granted you a life of wonderful accomplishments,” he said. 

Governor Oborevwori joined family, friends and associates in celebrating Dr Okubor, the political tactician and quintessential gentleman, and prayed that Almighty God would strengthen him and grant him good health in his continued service to the state and mankind.
