UNIBEN Releases Results For Post UTME, DE Screening Exams

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has released results for the post Unified Tertiary Matriculation (UTME) and Direct Entry screening examinations.

The university via a statement issued in Benin by its Public Relations Officer, Dr Benedicta Ehanire, said 13,367 candidates were successful in the just concluded post UTME examination.

This figure, Ehanire said, represented 94 per cent of the total number of candidates that sat for the test.

“Also, 225 candidates passed the Post Direct Entry Examination out of 678 candidates.

“Candidates are to check for their results on their respective UNIBEN kofa page by visiting www.waeup.uniben.edu,” said the institution’s spokesperson. (NAN) 

Meanwhile, the news of the release of the UNIBEN Post-UTME results came as Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, former Chief of Staff to ex- President Muhammadu Buhari urged the Federal Government for more investment in the nation’s universities, to attain technical innovations and development.

The former chief of staff gave the charge during a public lecture at the Federal University Lokoja (FUL).

The lecture was titled: “The relevance of university education in innovation for the advancement of town and gown symbiosis.”

Gambari, an academic and diplomat, said enhanced investments in the nation’s universities to encourage innovations and technological advancement would put the nation at a vintage position on the African continent.

“Such investments will open up opportunities for students to attain their academic heights, the knowledge frontiers and explore their natural talents.
