Sam Dagana: God's bank account is with His Children

Abuja Christian cleric Sam Dagana has enjoined Christians to see themselves as agents of God’s light everywhere they are found saying that God has no bank account outside the ones that belong to His children.

Elder Dagana, an elder/pastor at the Hospital Chapel, National Hospital, Abuja made the charge at the Sunday worship service while urging the faithful to be God’s agents in the marketplace and everywhere they are found.

Speaking on the topic, “Then Philip Went down to the city of Samaria,” under the quarter theme, Active Faith, Dagana said that the church is the grooming ground for Christians to subsequently go out to show the light to the world everywhere.

Drawing a parallel between the preparation of Philip in the church in Antioch to the similar preparation of Saul and Barnabas in the church in Antioch, the cleric said that the church is the nursery for grooming Christians for the real duty of shining the light of God to mankind.

He thus charged the brethren to put their minds on going saying that even while one may not physically go, he can send forth resources God has placed in his care for the divine mission.

He thus enjoined his congregation to see themselves and their resources as instruments of God in the world.

“Take advantage of everything, any opportunity you have, do it. Those small things you can do will bring many to the Lord.

“God has no man anywhere. God doesn’t have any woman anywhere, it’s you. God doesn’t have any resources kept somewhere, there is no bank account that God has, it’s your bank account,” the cleric said in a touching emphasis on the fact that all that Christians have belong to God and should be used for the divine mission.

Drawing copiously from the gospel he told his congregation of their duty to circumspection and following God’s leading in brining out the light in others.

He particularly made emphasis of the impactful roles played by Priscilia and Acquila, two of the early church figures in grooming the effervescent preacher, Apollos and making him one of the most impactful ministers in the church in Corinth.
