Ebiraland Mourns As Ohinoyi Dies At 94
His Royal Majesty Alhaji (Dr) Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi and paramount ruler of Ebiraland and vice chairman of Kogi State Traditional Council, is dead. He died at 94.
GWG.ng reports that the revered monarch and multi-billionaire passed away on Sunday morning after a brief illness.
The esteemed royal leader, who recently celebrated his 94th birthday, breathed his last in a private hospital in Abuja, according to a reliable source.
This sad news follows closely on the heels of another loss in the Kogi State traditional leadership community, as the Elulu of Mopaland, HRM Julius Olufunsho Joledo, also recently passed away at the age of 83.
While the official announcement from the Ohinoyi Palace and the Kogi State government is awaited, it is anticipated that the late first-class monarch will be laid to rest later on Sunday in Okene, in accordance with Islamic rites. The passing of His Royal Majesty Alhaji Ado Ibrahim marks a significant loss for Ebiraland and the entire Kogi State, leaving a void that will be deeply felt by the community he served with dedication and honor.
GWG.ng reports that the burial of the Ohinoyi is expected to be witnessed by a massive turnout of dignitaries many of whom came around for the All Progressives Congress, APC campaign rally in Okene. The news that the Ohinoyi is dead is bound to temporarily mask the political events in the state.
