Ododo Picks APC Flag From Tinubu, Makes New Vow On Kogi
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday presented the flag of the All Progressives Congress, APC to the party’s flagbearer in the Kogi State governorship election, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
GWG.ng reports that Governor Yahaya Bello led a delegation of the Campaign Council and party stalwarts to the flag presentation event at the Presidential Villa. The Director General of the Campaign Council and the Honourable Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, and the State Party Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, were among the top party leaders who witnessed the historic presentation.
The National Chairman of the Party, HE Dr Umar Ganduje also graced the occasion.
The President hailed Governor Yahaya Bello for making the party a formidable force in Kogi State, expressing optimism that Kogi State would remain in the APC fold by winning the Governorship election slated for November 11, 2023. He charged party leaders to continue to work hard to give the party a resounding victory.
Following the flag presentation, the excited candidate of the APC, Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo thanked President Tinubu for throwing his weight behind him, assuring him that he will ensure peaceful conduct before, during and after the Kogi election.
A statement issued by the spokesman of the campaign council, Kingsley Fanwo quoted Ododo as urging party leaders and esteemed members to continue to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in Kogi APC by Mr President.
