OAU Lecturer Found Dead In His Office
Dr. Ayo Ojediran, a lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, reportedly passed away after collapsing in his office. The deceased taught at the Department of Science and Technology Education within the Faculty of Education at the university.
Colleagues discovered Dr. Ojediran’s lifeless body in his office on Tuesday, November 14. Faculty members expressed sorrow over the loss, describing him as a “complete gentleman.”
A close friend, Ayodeji Obisesan, shared condolences on Facebook, praising the deceased as a kind and humble individual always ready to offer assistance.
“Such a very nice and humble man to the core. Always willing to help. God will give us your students, friends, colleagues, associates, and family members the fortitude to bear this great loss. May your soul rest in perfect peace, Dr. Ojediran Isaac Ayodele,” he wrote.
The Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju, acknowledged the incident, expressing deep sadness. The university opted not to issue an official statement given the sensitive nature of the matter.
