Controversial musician, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, and show promoter, Sam Larry, have been released from detention by the Lagos State Police Command following their incarceration over the death of popular musician, Mohbad.

GWG.ng reports that the two were released after meeting their bail conditions.

The spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed their release.

It would be recalled that a Lagos State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, granted Naira Marley and Sam Larry bail in the sum of N20 million with three sureties on November 6 2023.

They were arraigned and remanded on October 6 over their alleged involvement in circumstances surrounding the death of Mohbad.

The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, told the defendants to submit their passports and ordered that they report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.

It would be recalled that MohBad died on September 12, 2023 in Lagos at the age of 27. The nurse who administered a Tetanus vaccine on him was arrested and found to be an unlicensed nurse on September 19 2023, by the Lagos State Police Command.
