Star Actress Under Fire For Praising MC Oluomo Ahead Of Husband At Mother’s Burial

Nollywood actress Omowunmi Ajiboye is under scrutiny following her appreciation message to her husband, Segun Ogungbe, following ceremonies that marked the grand burial of her mother in Osogbo, Osun state.

Despite top dignitaries attending the event, including MC Oluomo and dignitaries like Faithia Williams, Madam Saje, and Kwam1, Ajiboye’s choice of words in her gratitude message stirred controversy.

In the Instagram post, Ajiboye referred to her husband as “Popsy Awon Oba” (the father of Kings), expressing thanks for his presence and offering prayers.

However, netizens were quick to observe that she had previously expressed gratitude to MC Oluomo with powerful prayers and a lengthy caption before acknowledging her husband.

The manner of greetings further added to speculation around Ajiboye’s alleged estrangement from Segun Ogungbe. The rumours by some netizens who suggested that MC Oluomo’s involvement may be a factor in their reported split can also not be established, but it is reported that following the split that Ogungbe allegedly returned to his first wife, Atinuke.

The online community, reacting to the situation, criticized Omowunmi Ajiboye for allegedly abandoning her husband for MC Oluomo, while others blamed Ogungbe for taking a second wife despite having a seemingly good first wife.
