Suspense As Hamas Delays Release Of Hostages
Hamas has announced a delay to the release of further Israeli hostages following what it claims as violations of the truce agreement reached with Israel.
A statement by its military wing said Israel broke the terms of the truce deal – a claim that Israel has denied.
A Hamas official told the BBC that Israel had stopped 97 aid trucks from reaching northern Gaza, and also flew drones over southern Gaza
A group of up to 14 hostages had been expected to be released on Saturday

Hamas’s attacks on 7 October killed 1,200 people, with about 240 taken hostage.
Since then, Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry says more than 14,500 people have been killed in Israel’s retaliatory campaign.
GWG.ng reports that the decision of Hamas to delay the releasee of the hostages is bound to further exacerbate tensions in the region and could possibly lead to recommencement of the war to the discomfort of the population in Gaza.
GWG.ng International Affairs editor reports that Hamas is likely to address a press conference later on Saturday to ventilate on the reasons behind the delay in the release of the hostages.
