Gospel Singer Tope Alabi In Tears At Colleague’s Event (Video)

An emotional video has surfaced online capturing the moment renowned gospel singer Tope Alabi was overwhelmed with love from fans at a recent event.

In the video shared on her official Instagram page on December 2, 2023, the 53-year-old singer was visibly moved to tears as the audience serenaded her with her songs.

Tope Alabi, seated at the front alongside her husband of 23 years, Olusoji Alabi, was invited to the event by fellow gospel singer Bidemi Aloba. The event, titled “In His Presence,” took place on December 1, 2023, in Maryland, Lagos.

As Tope Alabi was invited on stage, the audience spontaneously began singing her songs, eliciting smiles from the gospel singer. Soon after, she was moved to tears as the audience stood up and sang along to her renditions.

Tope Alabi holds a prominent position in the Nigerian music industry with a catalog of over a dozen albums. She gained widespread recognition in 2021 with her hit song “Ore ti o common.” Beyond her musical accomplishments, she has composed soundtracks for over 350 Nollywood film productions.

Sharing the video, Tope Alabi wrote; “This really messed me up😥. It was an emotional moment for me at the just concluded IN HIS PRESENCE programme organized by @bidemiolaoba. This is nothing short of God’s grace, and I do not take it for granted. Thank you, Jesus!!!”
