Iyabo Ojo Takes Strong Position On DNA Test For Mohbad’s Son

Renowned Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has criticized the persistent calls for a DNA test regarding the paternity of Liam Light, the son of the late singer Mohbad.

In a recent live social media session, the actress shifted the focus from the paternity dispute to the need for justice in the singer’s untimely death.

Iyabo Ojo expressed her disapproval of the ongoing debate surrounding the DNA test, deeming it a significant distraction from the core issue of seeking justice for Mohbad. She emphasized that determining Liam Light’s biological parentage would not absolve Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi Aloba, of suspicion in the singer’s death.

The veteran actress argued that the matter is primarily a family concern that should be addressed privately, urging a shift in attention toward identifying the perpetrator responsible for Mohbad’s demise.

“DNA was not part of our justice for Mohbad, so it does not really concern us. But his dad came out to say he wants DNA because that was one of the distractions and narratives they brought out, and he wants them to do it since they want to do it. Okay, that’s fine! But that’s a family matter; it has got nothing to do with justice for Mohbad,” Iyabo Ojo stated during the session in clear disapproval of the DNA test blurring a probe into the singer’s death.
