Nyesom Wike Defies Fubara’s Men, Returns To Rivers (Video)
Despite warnings and threats from loyalists of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, landed in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital on Saturday.
Watch video below;
Recalled that Honorable Boma Goodhead, a member of the House of Representatives, and other protesters had dared Wike to enter Rivers State, vowing not to allow him to disturb the state’s peace. They called on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to intervene, warning Wike to stay away. However, Wike, accompanied by Senator Barry Mpigi, Senator Allwell Onyesoh, Minister of State, Petroleum, Heineken Lokpobiri, Rivers Assembly members, and local government area chairmen, returned to Rivers State, defying the warnings.
As Wike defied threats and returned to Rivers State, GWG.ng reports that a video has emerged of Governor Simi Fubara being hailed by a live band in the same way his estranged political godfather, Nyesom Wike was so idolised months ago.
Recall that only months ago the live band and hypemen who accompanied Wike to occasions would intersperse his speech with words of adulation to him and mockery of his political foes.
A similar form of adulation emerged on Friday as Governor Fubara commenced the construction of a 20,000 housing project which provided a similar platform as Wike almost regularly used months ago to pepper his political enemies with the reprise of the live band.
