Echoes Of Hamas-Israeli War As Shiites Protest In Abuja
Echoes of the Hamas – Israeli war grazed Abuja on Tuesday as some Shiites under the guise of nown as the Islamic Movement stormed the United States (US) Embassy in the Central Business District in Abuja to protest what they claimed as genocide in Gaza.
With placards condemning what they termed Israeli genocide in Gaza, the Shiites called on the US to bear influence on Israel to stop the bombardments.
GWG.ng reports that the Israeli – Hamas war was sparked by the invasion of Southern Israel by Hamas militants who killed more than 1,200 persons before being repulsed fueling the Israeli carnage in Gaza.
The protesting Shiites marched from the Ministry of Defence to the US Embassy and along the way chorusing anti-Israeli and anti-American slogans.
Sheikh Sidi Munir Mainasara, one of the Shiite leaders speaking on the fringes of the protest said:
“Since 7th October, 2023 the Israeli Army continues its barbaric aggression against the People of Palestine mostly female and Children, destroying buildings and targeting hospitals.
“It’s too overwhelming to report the number of crimes committed by the Zionist entity with full support of President Biden’s regime.”
According to him, we have seen videos of young people crying about torture; little children sitting in pools of blood and debris, fathers carrying their lifeless kids hungrily killed by the Esrael Soldiers with the support of the US government.
“This pains our hearts and souls and fills us with an unbearable rage.
“The atrocities are ongoing, the Northern Gaza strip campaign arrest, indiscriminate bombing, an unjust siege, the cutting of all means of communication, and the destruction of all hospitals, all of which are out of service.
“Explosions still continuing and the Zionist entity still massacring the unarmed Palestinian men, women and children all with full support from the United State of America,” the Shiites leader said of the protest against the Hamas Israeli war in Abuja.
