Davido’s Baby Mama Defends Daughter’s Leaked Chat
Sophia Momodu, the mother of singer Davido’s first child, Imade, has stepped forward to clarify a recent Snapchat post that sparked reactions concerning her daughter’s emotional chat with her grandmother.
In the post, Sophia shared a conversation between Imade and her grandmother, where the young girl expressed heartbreak over her brother Ifeanyi’s death and her father’s apparent absence in her life.
Imade, in the emotional exchange, confided in her grandmother about the sadness caused by her father’s perceived neglect. The disclosure hinted at a strained relationship between the renowned singer and his daughter, particularly during challenging times.
Sophia Momodu, sharing the chat on Snapchat, expressed curiosity about who taught her daughter to compose such elaborate messages. This raised eyebrows and led some to believe that she was launching an attack on her baby daddy, attempting to tarnish his reputation.
Addressing the speculation on her Twitter page, Sophia defended herself against the narrative that portrayed her as the antagonist. She stated that Nigerians often want her to be the “bad guy,” but emphasized that children are truthful about their feelings, especially when talking to their grandparents.
In her tweet, Sophia expressed resilience in the face of public opinion: “Y’all want me to be the bad guy sooooo bad, and it’s ok, quite frankly I like being the bad guy Chun-Le. But one thing is for sure, kids don’t lie about how they feel. Especially with their grandparents. You people think this new generation of kids wouldn’t tell you about yourself when you’re moving mad. Better wake up.”

GWG.ng reports that Davido and Sophia had a falling out after the singer publicly declared love for his now wife, Chioma Rowland, and reunited with her. This left Sophia infuriated and she shared a post about a cat not taking rubbish from a dog.
