Juventus has officially welcomed Super Falcons midfield sensation, Jennifer Onyi Echegini, following her successful collegiate stint with Florida State’s Seminoles.

The 22-year-old, who has impressed during her time with the NCAA club side in the United States, is set to embark on her European career with Juventus after concluding her collegiate journey.

In a statement released on Thursday, January 4, 2024, Juventus announced that Echegini has inked a contract that extends until June 30, 2026.

Born in the Netherlands and raised in England, the talented midfielder makes her move to Juventus from the Florida State Seminoles, showcasing her diverse background.

Echegini made a significant mark at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup while representing Nigeria, solidifying her position as one of the nation’s top young midfielders.

Her achievements further include being a finalist for the MAC Hermann, the most esteemed award in US university football. In December, she clinched the Honda Sport Award for women’s football, adding to her accolades as the Most Valuable Player of the ACC Tournament, ACC Offensive Player of the Year, and a spot on the United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American.

The conclusion of 2023 saw Echegini tally an impressive 16 goals, marking the eighth-best result in the history of her university.

Notably, she became the first among the ranks of the Florida State Seminoles to achieve double figures in goals for multiple seasons consecutively since Deyna Castellanos, who once played for Manchester City.
