Yahaya Bello, Abiodun Hail As Yemi Kolapo Is Installed Iyalode Musulumi
The Governors of Ogun and Kogi States leading their eminent citizens to rally around veteran journalist, Yemi Kolapo have also called on religious leaders to actively support the government in fostering peace, unity, and development in Nigeria.
This appeal was made during the installation ceremony of Yemi Kolapo as the Iyalode Musulumi of Egbaland, at the Central Mosque, Kobiti, Abeokuta.
Highlighting the vital role of religious leaders in advocating peace and unity, the governors emphasized that stakeholders, particularly religious chiefs, play a crucial part in maintaining national harmony and development. The Ogun State Governor, represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Oluwatoyin Taiwo, commended the choice of Yemi Kolapo as the Iyalode Musulumi, considering her contributions to society.
In his own part, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello who was represented by Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, echoed the sentiment, stating that Egbaland’s decision to honor Yemi Kolapo aligns with its long-standing tradition of recognizing excellence and brilliance. He, therefore, urged stakeholders to continue supporting her for greater peace and development.
GWG.ng reported that Abubakar Ohere was previously a senator representing Kogi Central in the Senate until October 31st, 2023 when the Apex Court declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the actual winner of the February senatorial poll.
Expressing her gratitude, Yemi Kolapo pledged to utilize her new position to promote unity, peace, and development. The installation ceremony marked a significant recognition of her contributions to the community.
