Panic As Explosion Rocks Ibadan, Residents In Shock

In a shocking event parts of Ibadan, Oyo State, were rocked by an explosion on Tuesday night, causing widespread panic among residents. Videos circulating online depict scenes of chaos, with a dusty cloud enveloping the air, and houses and cars engulfed in flames.

Abdulsalam Bolaji, resident of Olorunsogo, confirmed the incident during a WhatsApp chat with GWG.ng, stating, “It is true. Houses were destroyed, and we all heard a very loud sound.. The epicenter of the explosion is reported to be around Bodija, close to the University of Ibadan. Reports suggest that the impact was also felt in areas like Sango and Ojo.

Several popular establishments, including Ace Mall, Dominos, and KFC, were reportedly affected by the unknown blast, adding to the gravity of the situation.
